Villa Mas Guide is a unique property. Constructed in the late 16th Century, this beautiful stone building has been completely restored into a lovely French home.
The interior of the villa is spacious and has a wonderful, distinct French feel. On the ground floor is a large and comfortable living area decorated with taste in a typical French Provencal style. It opens onto the front courtyard and back garden. Off of this room is the dining room and kitchen, which has just been updated. There is one double bedroom which has large windows opening onto the garden and 1 bathroom with bathtub/shower. There is also an "office" which has a fold-out bed. On the first floor are the 4 bedrooms, one of which is a lovely master bedroom, with windows overlooking the back garden. Two other bedrooms have 2 single beds each and the fourth bedroom is a wonderful character room with a small double bed. There are 2 bathrooms on the first floor, the larger of which has a bathtub/shower; the smaller bathroom is in one of the twin bedrooms and has a shower.
The garden of Villa Mas Guide is equally wonderful. There is a shaded area near the villa, where one can enjoy meals. The pool is large and gets full sun all day. There are many comfortable sun loungers around the pool; surrounding the pool is a nice terraced area, perfect for sunbathing. Near the pool, is a wonderful shaded gazebo, under which is a large outdoor table and chairs for meals by the pool. The barbecue is nearby for meal preparations. There is also ample flat grounds, perfect for children, and lovely flowers everywhere in the garden. There is a guardian on the premises who discreetly maintains the garden.
Villa Mas Guide also has the added benefit of a fantastic location! It is a 5 minute walk to the beach in Antibes and a 15 minute walk to the many restaurants and shops of the town. Antibes has a fantastic old town as well as a new town area, both which have lots to offer visitors in terms of meals, entertainment and sightseeing. Even though it is very close to the center of Antibes and the beaches it is on a side street and therefore enjoys a quiet surrounding. In all, this is a wonderful holiday experience.
